Inspector – Commercial Flat Roofing

Qualifications and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 Effectively diagnose and repair commercial roofs, while completing full comprehensive roof inspections and making specific recommendations based on your assessments
 Assess roof condition including active leak issues, overall condition and deterioration
 Inspect roof assets with a focus on what is required to preserve and extend roof life cycle
 Extensive knowledge of the installation process, repair and roof modifications (curbs…) of all roofing systems (Asphalt and Gravel, Mod-bit/ SBS Membrane, EPDM, TPO and Single-ply)
 Respond to emergency roof leaks or roof related issues (trouble shooting)
 Ensure that all specifications, shop drawings, and scope of work are being followed through
 Maintain company vehicle
 Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

 Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in the commercial roofing industry
 Red Seal Certification is an asset but not required
 Driver’s license (Class 5)
 Intermediate English skills
 Knowledge of basic computer programs and apps
 Sense of urgency – with a high tolerance for ambiguity
 Ability to communicate with others effectively both verbal and written
 Skills to lead and train new and present crew members
 Aptitude to follow safe work practices and procedures
 Capability to work long days, overtime and weekends when needed
